Creative Arts Initiative
The school music group meet every Wednesday afternoon after school from 3-4pm. The group is led by Mrs Fleming and the children from 2nd -6th class play a number of musical instruments such as; tin-whistles, fiddles, flutes, concertinas, accordions, banjo’s, guitars and keyboards. They learn to play a range of different tunes every week as well as arrangements and harmonies on their instruments. They perform at school concerts, at First Holy Communion and Confirmation Masses and participate in different musical projects and creative initiatives. The group is growing from strength to strength each year and the children really enjoy playing music with each other.
